A Museum in transition: The EXPERIMINTA ScienceCenter is facing changes

Our ScienceCenter is a special place for many people. It is a place to try things out, marvel at new discoveries, and explore together. With around 125,000 visitors per year, we are one of Frankfurt’s top ten museums and currently rank seventh out of 32.

But now a major change is imminent: the state of Hesse has terminated our lease. Our location on Hamburger Allee will only be available to us until the end of 2026.

What does this mean for us? A lot of movement, a lot of discussions, and a lot of confidence.

Finding a new home for an interactive hands-on museum like EXPERIMINTA is no easy task. But we are tackling this challenge together, as a team, full of energy, creativity, and with a clear goal in mind.

Because we believe in what we do: bringing science to life, sparking curiosity, and breaking down barriers.

We are in dialogue with the city and state, exploring possibilities, and welcome any form of support, no matter how small, whether it’s crossed fingers or good thoughts.

The EXPERIMINTA ScienceCenter remains a place of curiosity. Today, tomorrow, and beyond.
